While QuickTime player is free, it uses twice the RAM of MacVCD, opens sluggishly on G3 machines (we’re talking OS 9 here) and doesn’t do half the VCD stuff MacVCD does. ShredIt X – really enjoyed it

I purchased a copy of ShredIt X, and I have really enjoyed it.  As with any power tool, you have to be careful with it, but as far as I can tell it does what it is supposed to do.

You guys are so cool. We lost power to our house for 4 days due to the ice storm last week. I used my Titanium powerbook to play back the backlog of VCDs recorded with my Terapin VCD recorder. It was 35 degrees in the house, and we had no hot water, but we were able to entertain our neighbors and friends. Thanks for your quick response.
