For me it’s great! It’s what I was looking for. I tried the demo, I liked it, I bought it. Now I can see my VCDs full screen under X. [from VersionTracker]
No prizes for guessing this’s my favorite VCD player. While QuickTime player is free, it uses twice the RAM of MacVCD, opens sluggishly on G3 machines (we’re talking OS 9 here) and doesn’t do half the VCD stuff MacVCD does. MacVCD is an elegant and mature product which will play MPEG-1 better than QuickTime Player on older machines (low-end G3s and 604es). [Read More]
[MacVCD] You guys are so cool. We lost power to our house for 4 days due to the ice storm last week. I used my Titanium powerbook to play back the backlog of VCDs recorded with my Terapin VCD recorder. It was 35 degrees in the house, and we had no hot water, but we were able to entertain our neighbors and friends. Thanks for your quick response.
[MacVCD] Thanks for the fast reply. I installed it and it works great!
Thanks, I am very happy with mac vcd. The faq page was extremely helpful. I am completely grateful for the excellent product and great technical support I have received. I will try NetShred next.
MacVCD is outstanding. My VCDs have never looked better and, as promised, now play flawlessly in OS X. Thanks very much.
Let me congratulate you on getting this program right! I have tried several other options (free and not free) and keep coming back to MacVCD for the simple reason that the interface is the most easy to work with.
[MacVCD] You sell a great product and it was great doing business with you.
Thanks a billion – MacVCD X is fantastic!!!
[MacVCD] This version works fine and it is the best VCD playback experience I’ve had on the mac so far. Love you for the service and the program. Thanks so much,
[MacVCD] Thanks for a wonderful product and the top notch support.
[MacVCD] Thank you, thank you, thank you for your site. I can now play my VCD on my mac mini.
Love you guys. Cheers,
[MacVCD] Just a quick note to acknowledge your wonderful VCD player. I spent the better part of the day downloading trial versions of various players from ZDnet in attempt to play a disk full of (apparently PC) VCD’s that I bought on eBay, and none would do the job until I found and tested yours; needless to say, I found myself pulling out the Visa card five minutes later. Always nice to find a program that actually does what it’s designed to do; looking forward to trying out some of your other programs listed on your site. Also, a pleasant surprise to find that you’re actually Canadian-based.
